John Dimou- Shandows of Silence
[...] I believe that the work of Giannis Dimos "Shadows of Silence" can be interpreted as a struggle between limitation and escape, between light and darkness, between static and moving. One of the most remarkable images in the series, which I mentioned before, implements this balance in the form of a panorama where the village walls close most of the view, but in the middle there is a hole that leaves a fantastic landscape, without shadows - with mountains and sky. This photo leaves us with a fruitful doubt: are we inside or outside? We can not find a satisfactory answer. And we may not need to find an answer, if we go back to the time before the creation of the early theater and let Heraclitus set the terms [...]
