Alberto Polonara - Creative Circumstance

[...] In front of the swarm of facts, characters, aesthetic performances characterizing Venice's Biennale, Polonara has been ready to register and testify, just like a war press photographer launched to the frontline. He said he was going to be a press photographer and so he was.
We can't say whether the protagonists of his story are the artists, the works or the public. Surely the event is the protagonist. The photographer's emotion is the protagonist, who finally finds himself projected in the very world which he dreamed of, he loves, he wants to live and tell of. In his prints, in the contemporary art's stage, shapes are taking their place, characters are moving around and a life between reality and dream, history and fable, is unwinding. Images are organizing and crystalizing in front of the photographer's lens into immense spaces, unexpected colours, blinded by the light's white illumination.
