Constantine Manos - A Greek Portfolio - The unknown photos

«In 1964 I came back from Greece to America, having with me black and white films from almost two years of photographing. Next would come the most difficult task of printing photos for a book - which would be named A Greek Portfolio. I was printing for two years and after all I chose 320 gelatin silver prints  26×32 cm, from which 112 would be used in the first edition of A Greek Portfolio in 1972. The rest 208 prints were saved in a box and became forgotten. The following photos in this book come from that box, which now in my archive titled “Greek Portfolio”, at the Benaki Museum in Athens, where I hope to finally house my entire archive of this great work”.
