Dimitris Letsios - A portrait of Volos

The work of Dimitris Letsios now rightly occupies a place in the history of Greek post-war photography, far beyond the appreciation and recognition given to him by the native city of Volos. If, however, a crucial part of this work is identified with the endless touristic expeditions in Pelion and the wider Thessalian hinterland, how did the important creator portray his particular homeland?
Studying the material of Letsios concerning the city of Volos the first observation that comes to mind is that the raw material of Letsios maintains the same basic orientation: Street scenes, snapshots, everyday characters, landscapes, urban this time.
