Τhe open call for entries is addressed to artists and self-publishers from around the world, focusing on artist books, self-published photobooks, limited edition books, zines and DIY publications related to photography.

The selected books will be presented at the Photometria Photography Center, at the 18th edition of the Photometria International Photography Festival from 26 September to 29 November 2026 and later at ZOETROPE Athens on a date to be announced. Should there be interest from other regions in hosting this exhibition, further information will be provided. The set of books that will be selected, upon completion of the exhibitions, will be listed and added to the Photometria Photography Center’s public photographic library. The festival aims to disseminate the selected publications as broadly as possible before they are catalogued and placed in the P.P.C. library.

Submission Methods & Requirements

Those interested are invited to submit, between January 15 and February 20, 2026, a folder containing the following material via WeTransfer to photometriafestival@gmail.com. For Greek submissions, all information—and any required text—must be provided in both Greek and English):

– PDF with Technical specifications (Insert a dash in any field that does not apply)

  7. Project summary
  8. Book dimensions & number of pages
  9. Printing method
  10. Bookbinding method

– PDF of the book

– An image of the book cover (JPG file)

– Photobook presentation video (less than 3 min.) (mp4)

– Payment receipt

Applicants may submit more than one title, provided that each proposal is accompanied by a separate participation file.

The results will be announced on the festival’s social media channels within two months after the competition concludes, and the winners will be notified individually via email. Selected artists will be asked to send their books, at their own expense, by the end of May 2026 to:

Participation in the competition means the acceptance of the above conditions of the festival by each participant as well as informing him about the future actions of the festival.
