Stavros Xiros - Off-site

[…] In the end, Xiros’ survey maps existing points with a seemingly topographical disposition, with precise space-time coordinates. Furthermore, he outlines a raw portrait of Greece, skilfully moving between the general and the particular, composing the illustrated diary of a salesperson, with notes from the innermost parts of place and self. It thus places photography at the service of an incomplete autobiography unfolding in “off-site” mode, inviting reflection on contemporary life, which is increasingly diverted, as doing away with certainties becomes the new norm.
