Andreas Kamoutsis - A Place Among Them
The photobook "A Place Among Them" is the result of a long-term personal photographic project of the photographer Andreas Kamoutsis. It lasted 8 years and took place in 8 countries with 8 different Fujifilm cameras. Specifically from 2015 to 2022 in: Denmark, Greece, Serbia, Israel, Turkey, Morocco, Spain and Portugal and exclusively Fujifilm X-Series mirrorless photographic equipment was used. Through the photographic image, the photographer explores human situations, often contradictory, such as loneliness and loneliness, which we have probably all experienced and which each viewer can decode in their own way. The protagonists were random people of all ages, who marched in parallel marches without meeting. Using his favorite type of photography, that of Street Photography and the available natural light, Andreas explored in a free style many new places and people with different cultures, capturing moments that pass quickly in front of us, but remain and are indelibly imprinted on the canvas of our lives, shaping our psyche in the future. All of them suggest a perpetual search, expressed through the personal struggle for existence of each person inside and outside the megacities of the 21st century.
