Viridiana Morandini - POGO (Selected by Photometria Photobook 2026))

Viridiana Morandini’s photobook POGO is a visual narrative drawn from her personal photographic archive spanning fifteen years (2009–2024). Everyday moments, landscapes, friendships, and travels come together in an emotional dialogue about the passage of time, memory, and the arbitrariness of life.
The photographs, which were never originally intended to become a book, are recontextualized through a new visual approach, free from chronological order or the structure of a diary. Viewed from the distance of time, personal experiences and moments of youth take on a broader meaning, exploring our relationship with the people, places, and circumstances that shape our lives.
Photography becomes a way of holding on to time, preserving memories and emotions, and confronting the continuous flow of life. The selection and editing of the photographs were developed with the contribution of the PHMuseum photography collective and Lewis Champlin, editor at Loose Joints. The accompanying text is written by Spanish author Rubén Lardín.
Through a deeply personal yet universal narrative, the book explores what time leaves behind and how seemingly insignificant moments acquire meaning through memory and the act of seeing.
